First of all i need to open the ground floor plan.
Revit show single line for roof hidden above.
Out of the box revit doesn t do this because revit shows it as it s built.
Here are some facts that may help in explaining how to show beams which are above.
You may need to extend the view range to include objects whose hidden lines you want to show or reduce the view range to exclude objects whose hidden lines you do not want to display.
In the view properties expand the underlay drop down and select the level on which the roof was created to display as an underlay.
Simply highlight the segment you want to show as hidden right click and select override by element.
Then you can override the line property of each segment that you want to show as hidden.
This makes the roof line visible in the plan view but the lines appear as solid lines.
The top range of the view range dialog box is only there to establish how high the cut plan can go.
As you can see neither one of these options may be what you were specifically looking for but these are the workarounds for now.
The model is already previously drawn by someone that actually knows what theyre doing.
Lol but i noticed when i put the model in 3d view the pipe lines show up as single lines but the duct and everything else shows up as actual 3d.
So let s say i want to show the outline of the roof on my ground floor plan.
Manage additional settings line styles and select beyond.
Open the plan view of the level in which you want to see the roof line.
If your convention is to always show all foundations as hidden or dashed in a plan view i suggest making a view template for your plan views that has the structural foundation category overridden.
Revit will not detect things overhead.
