Obviously the casing trim was way too short to begin with but the carpet and pad hid that fact.
Removed carpet now door is too short.
The flooring is hardwood also i do not have central air heat.
The door jamb and molding are now too short.
What should i do.
These decorative square wood blocks often found in older homes are used at the corners and bottom of wood trim.
Fix them with the wood door extender.

Cut the filler piece so it is the same width as the door.

Sometimes carpenters can fill that space in with wood and since its painted it would hide the fact that its a sliver of wood down there.
Cut the filler piece 1 2 to 1 inch shorter than the gap between the floor and door with a wood or circular saw.
If you remove old carpeting or a built up floor and now the door trim is a bit too short don t fret.
